Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
