Skydance Paramount Will Remove Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Skydance Paramount will begin mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August worth $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are likely, with the company intending to announce complete information in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports had indicated the firm aimed to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.
The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
